Welcome to one of the things I love: Interior Design & Furniture.

My relationship with design began long before I knew to call it that. As a child, I would sketch homes from the inside out & imagine the floor plan, furniture layout, visualize how each room would connect, & then draw the exterior around the world I had created in my mind. Looking back, I realize I wasn’t simply drawing houses. I was imagining how people would feel within them.

 

"Some of my earliest memories of design were at home, rearranging the living room furniture with my mom. It was such a simple act, but I remember how different the room could feel afterward. Moving a sofa, changing the direction of a chair, opening up a space; it was almost as if the energy of the entire house shifted."

That feeling stayed with me.

​Creativity has always found its way into my life in many forms. Interior design is one expression of it, but so are painting, photography, gardening, culinary arts, and whatever new creative idea happens to capture my imagination. I’ve always been drawn to making, experimenting, and seeing where an idea can take me.

My creative foundation began in elementary school, where I attended an art-oriented program that focused on different forms of art into education. I also found my place in the performing arts, where I learned about rhythm, harmony, movement, and spatial awareness; principles that continue to influence the way I see & approach design today.

Those were some of the most formative years of my life.

When I reached college, I returned to those roots & attended art school, where I began to put language around something I had always instinctively understood. I discovered that what came naturally to me had a deeper vocabulary-one rooted in composition, proportion, texture, form, function, light, & space.

​

My professional journey began as a visual stylist in Los Angeles, California with Bloomingdale’s.

It was an experience that taught me so much about presentation, visual storytelling, & the power of creating an experience. But somewhere along the way, I realized I was longing for something more.

 

I found my way back to interior design.

​

And what I discovered was that it wasn’t only the design I loved. It was the people.

I don’t believe design is simply about aesthetics. It is about the relationship between objects, materials, light, space, and the people who inhabit them. It is about how a room can hold a memory, shift an energy, inspire a feeling, or become the backdrop for an entirely new story.

​

For me, design is both intuitive & intentional.​ It is where art meets life. And perhaps that is why I’ve always been drawn to it. Because at its heart, design is not just about creating a beautiful space.
